Now operating for over 35 years, our farm is much loved for its friendly atmosphere. Generations of visitors from the same family have enjoyed trips to The Children's Farm although much has changed from our early days. Families don't need to book, so come and see us soon! And don't worry about the weather - nearly everything is undercover.
The Big Play Barn is a separate attraction at Ash End - a purpose built play-barn which includes a giant undercover bouncing pillow. You can visit the play barn on its own or as part of our combi-ticket. There are different play areas for specific ages making play safe as well as fun. See the tab at the top for more information.
We put lots of up-to-date information, competitions and special offers on Facebook. Why not like us and join in the fun?
We are open every day apart from a few days after Christmas when closure dates will be posted here.
The farm and play barn are separate attractions and have different opening times and admission fees, although a combined ticket can be bought reducing the total cost should you wish to visit both.
For both attractions, last admission is 1 hour before the closing time.
9.30am - 4pm (from November 1st)
(note: in Summer months we open until 5 pm)
There are regular, daily organised activities that happen at specific times - egg collecting, chick chat, sit on a horse, tractor ride, bottle feeding. These activities are all included in your admission and are available weather and season permitting. See the Things To Do page for more information and activity times.
Children's admission includes ALL extra activities (chicken chat, bucket of animal feed, find an egg, bottle feed when available, etc.) For this reason, admission is required for all children who will get a card to access the activities. If you have a young baby then they can enter the farm free of charge but do not participate in the organised activities unless you choose to pay their admission.
See the Things to Do page for full information about activities included in your admission.

There's unicorns, wizards, snakes, reptiles and birds of prey all part of our Fantastic Creatures event. This will run from Monday 18th to Friday 22nd February. On the weekends this event won't run but instead our mascot characters will be out on the farm at different times of the day to meet and greet your children.
